Chuck Kroll drove from his Grayling, Michigan home to the Allegheny Mountains of west-central Pennsylvania with Fred Bear to hunt whitetail deer in the autumn of 1961.

They camped at a farm situated along Rolling Rock Creek and each was successful in bagging a whitetail deer with bow and arrow.

That hunt was the plot for the famous Fred Bear movie "The Oldest Game" which is an all-time favorite among traditional bow hunters.
